My name is Amanda... And I love Sade. That's right. I love Sade. Smooth Operator? What's not to love? And the slow song, By Your Side?! I mean really... Is there a better slow song than that? I don't think so. I dare somebody to find something better.
Not to mention it was Sade who turned the "pony tail" into a fashion accessory. Now that's my kinda lady.

Foiled again! But seriously, did Sade have any songs other than those two? Any who, besides Amanda has heard even the second one? Does her pony tail detatch and she can put on different ones? Can one buy a kit of Sade pony tails?
Better, eh?. How about Slayer's Hallowed Point? Seriously. It's good fun and a great relationship litmus test. If you say you love Slayer and the prospective significant other is still interested then he/she must be seriously interested. But if they suddenly reveal a dedication to piercing and scarification then run! Run like the wind!
When you are really pissed off someday, listen to the above mentioned Slayer tune and you will either find kindred fury or your anger will wilt before their all consuming wrath and you'll realize that you aren't that pissed off after all.
Back to sleep for me. I mean work

Heather, they probably have a bunch of Sade (pronounced Sha-day) at CPL. If they have Lover's Rock, get that one. It's new but it has old stuff on it.
p.s. I promise to email soon!!!
Warren, please check your sentance structure before posting. I can't figure out what you're trying to say up at the top there before you light into me on the ponytail thing.
(hee heee hee, just kidding... no checking required... but seriously, were you trying to say, "who, besides Amanda, has even heard of the second song?")
I think I said what I meant which, in another way was:
The songs are so old and obscure, who, other than Amanda (and me 'cause i'm old) has heard either one, particularly the latter. I was being facicious (goofed that spelling I'm sure) anyway, so forget I ever said a thing.
I wasn't lighting into you personally, just into the concept of pony tail as an accessory (spelled that wrong, I think). It make her - Sade - sound like some kind of doll with different things that attach to make her different. But I think if you pulled her string she'd sound pretty sexy and say something more intriguing than the infamous "math is hard" of Barbie fame. I hope you have some idea what I'm talking about, that controversy was some time ago.

When I lived in Rez in my first year of University, I had this friend who was crazy-obsessed with the 80s. When MuchMusic had their all 80s weekend she booked the t.v. for the ENTIRE weekend and sat in the lounge in her pajamas for 48 hours straight, just waiting to see that A-HA video. All the crazy trekkies went nuts because they couldn't watch the Space channel, and they thought it was hilarious that both times they played the video she was in the bathroom. Ah, poor Jessica.
I am also unfamiliar with this Sade. Jenny, will you invite me to one of your raging pajama parties and teach me everything I need to know about her?
Jenny, I knew you'd be a kindred spirit and love Sade. Yea you. I also love the Take On Me video! But best of all, Jacob from Canadian Idol. The show would be useless without that guy. It was the BEST performance. So good. If he doesn't win, I pledge never to watch another Idol show again.
p.s. Warren, silly, I'm not mad at you, I was only teasing. Please be my friend again.
MAD, why do you think I'm MAD?!? I'm just mad about you, Amanda (& Jenny & Val & Genevieve & Heather & Michelle & Keri & Sonya & everyone I missed). Does my sublimated rage come through in my postings or does the mere mention of Slayer make the mentioner seem angrier and perhaps slightly dangerous? Does no one else out there in blog-land love Slayer? No? Oh, well. Can't say I'm surprised.
Love all the pillow fight stories from the love cage, keep up the good work.
Warren
Okay, Val. I'm going to pretend either you were hit with a moment of complete insanity, or you're drunk, cause you didn't just say that that guy from Newfoundland was hot?! You didn't, right? (blagh splat) sorry... that was just me PUKING OVER THE GUY FROM NEWFOUNDLAND!
I'm going to have to go with Heather on this one. I'm boycotting purely based on the fact that Mulroney has absolutely no talent and yet is somehow on my tv every time I turn it on. What is that? I refuse to support that career in any way, shape, or form.
Michelle
I'm with Amanda on this one. Guitar playing is near the top of my "desirable male traits" list, but that Jason does absolutely nothing for me. PUKE ON THE GUY FROM NEWFOUNDLAND.
I can't stop thinking about Warren.
I can't believe you two. Are you serious? This is the last person in the world I would have guessed you would find attractive. Seriously. Man alive... the more you know, huh GI Joe?
I can't stop thinking about Keri.
So I missed the show last night, but I did get in 10 votes for the girl from Saskatoon. Yay Theresa!
Keri
Wow! I have a stalker. And somehow we have a psychic connection. That's spooky.
Keri,
It's because we're both from Saskatoon . .. mmwahahaha!!
